Rails Application Beta Test (Check It Out)

FamilyLearn is a small company here in Utah Valley (20 minutes south of Salt Lake City). When I first ran into them, they had a cool looking application called iMemoryBook (no, it's not a Mac thing). The thing is, it was kind of a ball of mud that was written in Perl and PHP. I spent some time evanlelizing Ruby and Rails, and they've since hired a couple of Ruby and Rails hackers and have rewritten their application in Ruby on Rails.

The application is an online tool for building and publishing "memory books" (Baby albums, Wedding Albums, Books of Rememberance, and the like). I wish I could really do the idea (and the website) justice. The good news is I don't have to.

This morning I got an email saying that they're looking to for beta testers. If you're interested, take a look at beta.imemorybook.com.

If you're a Rails or a UI head, go take a look at what they've done, it's really cool. Even if you're not, you should take a look — it's that cool. (Feel free to pass them some feedback if you think it isn't, this is a beta after all.)
